Finding and Changing Your Phone's Admin Password

After your phone is set up, the default admin password is changed for security. Here's how to find or update this password:

Steps:

  1. Access the Admin Control Panel: Go to https://control.venturetel.co and log into your account.
  2. Open Your Account Settings: Click on your account name or icon in the upper right corner. This will take you to your account settings area.
  3. Locate Provisioning Settings: Look for a section labeled "Provisioning Settings".
  4. Find and Update Your Password: You should see your current phone admin password listed. If you'd like to change it, you can update it here as well and save the new password.

Important Notes:

  1. Store Your Password Securely: Choose a strong password and store it in a safe place.
  2. Changing Phone Settings: While you can change some settings directly on your phone, many settings (such as feature keys, phone preferences, and user/extension assignments) are provisioned through VentureTel. Manual changes you make on the phone may be overwritten when reprovisioned.
  3. Contact Support: If you have any trouble finding your provisioning settings or changing the password, contact VentureTel support for help.
